CARBONDALE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Greg Carter Named Director of Sales for KFVS12

Carbondale Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Greg Carter has been named Director of Sales for KFVS-TV and The Heartland’s CW (WQWQ-TV). The announcement comes from KFVS12 Vice President and General Manager Chris Conroy. Carter comes to KFVS12 from sister Raycom Media station WXIX, the Fox affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he served as Local Sales Manager.

“Greg has a track record of success,” said Conroy. “And his extensive experience in broadcast and digital sales makes him a great fit for the KFVS12 team.”

Prior to Cincinnati, Carter has worked in broadcast sales in various markets including Nashville, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Terre Haute.

“KFVS12 has a legacy of helping local businesses with advertising campaigns that make them successful,” said Carter. “I’m honored to be part of the Heartland and I’m excited to help lead a winning team here at KFVS12.

As Director of Sales, Carter will oversee all revenue generating efforts for KFVS12 and WQWQ-TV, along with all of the stations’ digital platforms. He will lead the station’s sales teams located in Cape Girardeau and Southern Illinois.

Carter graduated from Indiana State University with a B.S. degree in Radio/TV. Prior to that he was in the United States Marine Corps where he achieved the rank of Sergeant.

KFVS12 is the CBS Network affiliate serving the Cape Girardeau, Paducah, Harrisburg television market since 1954, and is a free broadcast service of Raycom Media, Inc. KFVS12 also operates WQWQ-TV, a CW/MeTV affiliate, KFVS12.com, Merge Digital Solutions, The Grit Network, and numerous digital platforms.
