File4481344391774

City of Carbondale Carbondale Convention and Tourism Bureau recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Carbondale wants to remind everyone about the City’s liquor laws ahead of Carbondale Halloween.

In September, City Council approved a resolution allowing open containers in the downtown area on October 27. Under the ordinance, alcoholic beverages may be possessed in plastic containers between Jackson and Mill streets and University Avenue and Washington Street from 11 a.m.-11:59 p.m. Coolers and outside beverages will not be allowed. Alcoholic beverages must be purchased at licensed liquor establishments.
