Carbondale Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
The Carbondale Fire Department will host an Open House on Saturday, October 6 at Fire Station #2, located at 401 N. Glenview Drive, from 10 a.m.-noon.
This is an opportunity for the community to tour the fire station, meet firefighters, learn more about department services and ask questions. There will also be activities for kids, including a special appearance by the Fire Department’s mascot Sparky.
The Open House will kick off National Fire Prevention Week, October 7-13. This year’s theme is “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere.”
If you have questions or would like more information, contact the Carbondale Fire Department Administrative Office at (618) 457-3234.
