Southern Illinois University School of Medicine recently issued the following announcement.
As part of Child Passenger Safety Week, ThinkFirst will host a Car Seat Fitting Station on Tueday, Sept. 25.
Car crashes are a leading cause of death for children. In 2016, 723 children under age 13 were killed in motor vehicle crashes, according to Injury Facts. That's about two children every day.
To generate awareness about child passenger safety, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, National Safety Council and the Illinois Department of Transportation will be recognizing Sept. 23-29 as Child Passenger Safety Week. Certified child passenger safety technicians will be available at hundreds of car seat events nationwide to provide safety tips and car seat installation instructions to parents and caregivers.
11:00am to 1:00pm
Location
