II. 17-2816 Personnel Policy Handbook Revisions
The subcommittee discussed the handbook and the changes that still need to be
made. Brenner informed everyone that the Technology Acceptable Use policy needs to be
attached to the handbook. He also began the discussion about the need for a lactation
room. The consensus of the subcommittee is to indicate that the lactation room will be
designated by the County Board. Brenner also suggested including the county ethics and gift
ban ordinance. This handbook, with the requested changes, will be forwarded to the Executive
Committee for approval. Rendleman asked that a copy be emailed to the Executive Committee
prior to the October meeting. Brenner was asked, again, if he would compose a letter to the
other departments informing them of his thoughts on the handbook. He, again, agreed and
asked that he receive a digital copy of the handbook with all the a ttachments. Brenner then
reminded the subcommittee that they should be thinking about doing a county Affirmative
Action Plan next. The subcommittee discussed what is involved in doing an Affirmative Action
Plan and S. Bost was asked to locate examples of Affirmative Action Plans.
III. 17-2817 Discrimination and Harassment Form
