New Business:

1. Resolution 2017-17 – Resolution approving the City of Marion’s application for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) {Program grant under the terms and conditions of the State of Illinois in the amount of $750,000.00.)

2. Ordinance 3404 – An Ordinance amending Ordinance 3392, Section VI, Item C, Late Payment Penalty corrected from one and one-half percent to one percent.

3. Police Department

Council approval of purchase of a replacement vehicle for Unit 29, a 2010 Dodge Charger that was rear-ended and totaled. Insurance is paying approximately $12,000.00 for vehicle and equipment change over. Bid from Watermark Ford Hyundai of Marion – New 2018 Ford Police Interceptor Utility $30,568.15.

4. Fire Department

Addition and Renovations to Fire Station

Original Contract Amount $749,800.00

Net Change from previous change orders $4,458.74

Change order 004 Change order amount $6,207.54

Change order 005 Change order amount $1,530.00

Change order 006 Change order amount $1,271.94

Change order 007 Change order amount $ – 64.00

Total amount of these chg. orders $8,945.48

5. Street Department

Council approval to pay Skuta Construction Inc. $45,000.00 for 284 feet of storm sewer relining in Summerfield Subdivision. Funds from Road & Bridge account.

6. Agreement with Clarida & Ziegler Engineering for Construction Engineering Services for a portion of Russell Street from Morgan Avenue two blocks south.

7. Hub Recreation Center

a. Hire Recommendations

Council approval of Sabrina Rush, part-time Child Watch at $9.00 per hour and Part-time Camp Counselor at $9.00 per hour.

b. Job Classification Additions

Debbie Fosse – Group Exercise Instructor (Wellness) $20.00/hr. (current Senior Fitness Specialist and Group Aquatic Instructor) Group Exercise Instructor is an existing job classification.

c. Budget Expenditure Approval Request

$7,500 WSIL Television advertising expenditure (Marketing Department budgeted) for Black Friday membership promotion day.

8. Ordinance No. 3403 – An Ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a Tax Increment Financing District Redevelopment Agreement by and between the City of Marion and Speakeasy Liquors, Inc and Diederich Properties Inc. (Hub TIF)

9. Approval to donate $5,000.00 to Marion Main Street’s Financial support.
