The meeting was called to order at: 6:00 P.M. President Schafer.

1. Members in attendance: Mr. Bernardini, present; Mr. Funk, present; Mrs. Jeschke, present; Mr. Keith, arrived at 6:17pm; Mr. Schafer, present; Mrs. Sherman, present; Mr. Wisely, present. Others in attendance: Superintendent, Kevin Spain; Principal, Jeremy Pierce.

2. A motion was made by Mr. Bernardini and seconded by Mr. Wisely to approve the consent agenda of the following items: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5. Mr. Bernardini, yes; Mr. Funk, yes; Mrs. Jeschke, yes; Mr. Schafer, yes; Mrs. Sherman; Mr. Wisely, yes.

Motion carried.

3. 4. A motion was made by Mrs. Sherman and seconded by Mr. Schafer to approve the 2016 Property Tax Levy and Resolution. Mrs. Jeschke, yes; Mr. Keith, yes; Mr. Schafer, yes; Mrs. Sherman, yes; Mr. Wisely, yes; Mr. Bernardini, yes; Mr. Funk, no. Motion carried.

5. A motion was made by Mr. Keith and seconded by Mr. Funk to approve the Resolution to Regulate Expense Reimbursement. Mr. Keith, yes; Mr. Schafer, yes; Mrs. Sherman, yes; Mr. Wisely, yes; Mr. Bernardini, yes; Mr. Funk, yes; Mrs. Jeschke, yes. Motion carried.

6. A motion was made by Mr. Bernardini and seconded by Mrs. Sherman to adjourn to closed session to discuss: The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body and collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees. Mr. Schafer, yes; Mrs. Sherman, yes; Mr. Wisely, yes; Mr. Bernardini, yes; Mr. Funk, yes; Mrs. Jeschke, yes, Mr. Keith, yes. Motion carried.

7. A motion was made by Mr. Keith and seconded by Mr. Wisely to return to open session at 7:42 p.m. By voice vote all members voted “yea” to return to open session. No action was taken.

8. A motion was made by Mr. Keith and seconded by Mr. Funk to approve Leave under FMLA for Brittany Valdez. Mrs. Sherman, yes; Mr. Wisely, yes; Mr. Bernardini, yes; Mr. Funk, yes; Mrs. Jeschke, yes; Mr. Keith, yes; Mrs. Schafer, yes. Motion carried.

9. A motion was made by Mr. Funk and seconded by Mr. Keith to approve Leave under FMLA for Joan Steele. Mr. Bernardini, yes; Mr. Funk, yes; Mrs. Jeschke, yes; Mr. Keith, yes; Mr. Schafer, yes; Mrs. Sherman, yes; Mr. Wisely, yes. Motion carried.

10. A motion was made by Mr. Bernardini and seconded by Mrs. Sherman to approve Lauren Buser as EHS Volunteer Assistant Cheer Advisor. Mr. Funk, yes; Mrs. Jeschke, yes; Mr. Keith, yes; Mr. Schafer, yes; Mrs. Sherman, yes; Mr. Wisely, yes; Mr. Bernardini, yes. Motion carried.

11. A motion was made by Mr. Bernardini and seconded by Mr. Keith to approve Daniel Eisenhauer as volunteer EHS Assistant Boys Basketball Coach. Mrs. Jeschke, yes; Mr. Keith, yes; Mr. Schafer, yes; Mrs. Sherman, yes; Mr. Wisely, abstain; Mr. Bernardini, yes; Mr. Funk, yes. Motion carried.

12. A motion was made by Mr. Wisely and seconded by Mr. Funk to approve Rob Hicks and Jack Ehlers as volunteer Bass Team Coaches/Boat Captains for 2016-2017. Mr. Keith, yes; Mr. Schafer, yes; Mrs. Sherman, yes; Mr. Wisely, yes; Mr. Bernardini, yes; Mr. Funk, yes; Mrs. Jeschke,yes. Motion carried.

13. Mr. Wisely thanked Mrs. Sherman and several others at Vergennes for helping with the water break at the Junior High School. He also expressed that the concession stand at the High School has a tremendous opportunity for large basketball crowds and then wished everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

14. A motion was made by Mr. Funk and seconded by Mrs. Sherman to adjourn at 7:48 p.m. with the next regular meeting scheduled at 6:00 p.m. January 19, 2017. All members voted “yea” by voice vote. Motion carried.
