The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:
Tim Atkisson, Commissioner
Jim Marlo, Commissioner
Jim Rasor, Commissioner
Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving consent agenda. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
Motion made by Jim Rasor and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving Martha’s Garden Subdivision. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
Whiteash sewer credit for Kenny Ellis. Commissioner Rasor will be contacting Village of Pittsburg for more information pertaining to the credit. No action taken.
Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, to advertise County Engineer position to website and Indeed. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving RESOLUTION NO. 24-05-14-71 SALE TO NEW OWNER-TIFFANY SCHOENBAUM. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving RESOLUTION NO. 24-05-14-72 SALE TO NEW OWNER-ROBERT BUFFINGTON. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
Gary Williams, Rend Lake Conservancy District, was present to speak with the board. No action taken.
Commissioner Marlo discussed holding a meeting May 21, 2024 to go over the Animal Control Facility. Also, announced that the County Wide Clean Up Day will be held June 8th, 2024 from 8:00-12:00. He would like a press release to go out on the County’s website, Hyper Reach and to Greater Egypt once Republic goes over contract and gives list of items to be taken that day.
Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving Travel Reimbursement for Jim Rasor in the amount of $234.50. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Abstain. All members present two voting Yea; motion carried.
