8. Action: Amendment of 2025-2026 SY Calendar
We have utilized three of the five emergency days this winter (with Casimir Pulaski Day counted as a day of attendance rather than a day off as listed on the state- and ROE-submitted calendar), the last day of student attendance is scheduled for Monday, June 1, 2026. The final Teacher’s Institute will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, and 8th Grade Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026; in the event of future inclement weather days, additional emergency days or Act of God days will be utilized. 9. Unity Point Goal-Setting Workshop
The board will review the Core Values/Beliefs, vision statements, and district goals developed during the February 28 Goal-Setting Workshop, along with the IASB follow-up letter outlining recommended next steps for implementation and monitoring. We will seek board consensus on final drafts of the Core Values/Beliefs and vision statements for each board priority area, with the intent to formally adopt them so the superintendent can begin strategic planning aligned to these goals.
