Murphysboro High School, part of the Murphysboro Community Unit School District 186 in Jackson County, Illinois, recently posted updates regarding its athletics program and upcoming events on its official Twitter account.

On August 17, 2025, Murphysboro High School shared a schedule for the Red Devils sports calendar: "2025-25 (Aug 18-23), Red Devils Sports Calendar https://t.co/qLrEVadftM". The following day, on August 18, the school posted another message containing only a link: "https://t.co/hexK1ldnAs".

Later that same day, Murphysboro High School encouraged community participation in an athletics fundraiser: "Come out and support Murphysboro High School Athletics on Friday, August 22nd from 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM. Ford will donate $30 to MHS Athletics for every completed test drive. Scan the QR code below and fill out the survey before you arrive! https://t.co/NjP05UwRNi".
