Call to Order (5:35 PM)
Members Present: Clark, Hunter and Willis
Members Absent: Flowers, St. Julian, Thomas and Williamson

Approval of Minutes
I. 17-2467 March 20, 2017 Minutes
A motion was made by Clark, seconded by Board Liaison Hunter, to approve the March 20, 2017 minutes as presented. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
S.T.A.R.T.-Lipe updated the board on how START is doing. He stated that they have added a person on the youth coordination side, they are working on their Title XX funding application and they hope the funding will be there next year.
Shawnee Health Services-Donney informed the board that they are in the process of transitioning to a new record keeping program, their healthy families program went through accreditation and did well, and they hope to have their new psych building open in early July.
Centerstone-Sime updated the board on the progress of the Crisis Center that reopened in April, they have reached capisity quickly and are proud of the work they are doing. She went on to say that they have about ten full time school based counselors, they passed their audit for their grant from the department of labor that allows them to assist those returning to work after prison, and the Carbondale South office will be honoring two people with a small reception and board members are encouraged to attend.
Women's Center-Eubanks informed the board that the work being done at the Erma Hayes Center is continuing, they were able to work out the rent issue. The Women's Center is working on planning for their back to school bash. She went on to explain that the Women's Center could possibly have to close in September due to the lack of a State budget, they have already laid off some people and have instituted furlough days. The board inquired about if there is anything that they can do to help.
II. 17-2468 Public Hearing
The board discussed when their budget would be due to the county and when to hold the public hearing. Applications for FY2018 funding are due in the office by 4pm on July 3rd. The board decided to hold the public hearing before their July 17th meeting; the Public Hearing will be held at 5:30pm in the Jackson County Courthouse. The administrative assistantwill post the notice in the Southern Illinoisan.
A motion was made by Board Liaison Hunter, seconded by Clark, to authorize holding the Public Hearing on July 17th at 5:30pm and posting notice of the Hearing in the local paper. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
III. 17-2469 1 and 3 year plans
The board discussed when the planning committee could meet; the consensus of the board is to have the Planning meeting on June 22nd at 12pm in the County Board office. The board asked the administrative assistant to review the previous plans prior to the meeting and note which items have been completed.
IV. 17-2470 SICIL Discussion
The board discussed that SICIL is still asking them to reconsider giving them funding. The board wants to see what their remaining balance is, the administrative assistant will contact Michelle Tweedy, Accounting Coordinator, and ask for an accounting prior to the July meeting.
Clark asked if anyone else has received an email from an organization wanting to be included on the 708 website. The board discussed it and asked Clark to send the email the administrative assistant who will send it to the other board members for review.
