Southern Illinois swim and dive earns 34 all-conference honors at MVC championships

Southern Illinois University’s swim and dive team earned 34 All-Conference honors at the conclusion of the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Swim and Dive Championships. The Salukis received 15 First-Team selections and 19 Honorable Mentions, with a total of 22 athletes recognized.

To be named to the All-Conference team, athletes must finish in the top three of an individual event or be part of a winning relay team for First-Team status. Honorable Mention is awarded to those who place fourth through eighth or are members of second- or third-place relay teams.

The list of Southern Illinois athletes honored includes Brooklyn Anderson (First Team), Madalyn Booker (First Team and Honorable Mention), Liseska Gallegos Gutierrez (First Team and Honorable Mention), Susy Hernandez (First Team and Honorable Mention), Olivia Herron (First Team), Lívia Munkácsi-Nagy (First Team and Honorable Mention), Ava Rines (First Team), Zaria Terry (First Team and Honorable Mention), Masha Zhukova (First Team and Honorable Mention), Tia Jankovics (Honorable Mention), Karen Rodriguez (Honorable Mention), Benedek Andor (First Team and Honorable Mention), Juraj Barcot (First Team and Honorable Mention), Alex Cimera (First Team and Honorable Mention), Willem Huggins (First Team and Honorable Mention), Rodrigo Ramos Chávez (First Team and Honorable Mention), Carter Ruthven (First Team and Honorable Mention), Tiago Faleiros (Honorable Mention), Tomáš Peciar (Honorable Mention), Maddax Thompson (Honorable Mention) and Nate Worsham (Honorable Mention).

Southern Illinois Salukis Men’s Swimming & Diving competes at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. The program holds its home meets at Shea Natatorium in Carbondale, Illinois, where it conducts swimming and diving competitions.
