Southern Illinois University’s men’s golf team will conduct its annual fundraising event on Friday, August 1. The golf-scramble fundraiser will take place at The Links at Kokopelli, as announced by Head Coach Justin Fetcho.

“This fundraiser is so vital for our program and our student-athletes,” Fetcho stated. “We have been able to provide a championship-level program to our players through this event. We are able to travel to some of the best events in the country as well as provide our student-athletes with the extras needed to compete for championships.”

Participants can join the event as part of a six-person team for $900 or register individually for $150. Sponsorship opportunities are available as well. All participants will receive a greens fee, cart, lunch, and a special gift, with a portion of the entry fee potentially being tax deductible.

“Winning championships is bigger than one person, it requires a huge community of people. Saluki Nation has played such a pivotal role in the success of our program. This event ensures we are able to continue to provide our student-athletes with every opportunity to not just enjoy life as a Saluki, but also to put championship rings on their fingers.”

Registrations can be completed online or by mailing printed forms to SIU.
