The Southern Illinois Salukis men’s golf team will return to competition on April 6 as they participate in the Racer Intercollegiate hosted by Murray State. The event will be held at the Country Club of Paducah, featuring a par-72 course that stretches over 7,014 yards.
This tournament follows the team’s recent 11th place finish at the Seminole Intercollegiate. The field for this event includes fifteen teams such as Austin Peay, Belmont, Bradley, Chattanooga, Dayton, Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, Morehead State, North Dakota, SIU Carbondale, Southern Indiana, Tennessee Tech and UT Martin.
The Salukis have delivered competitive results in collegiate tournaments and conference championships according to the official website. Players from the team have also earned individual titles and weekly conference honors according to the official website.
Competing as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference within Southern Illinois University is a key aspect of their program according to the official website.
