Rep. Jacobs recently acknowledged the birthday of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. Lincoln, who spent a significant portion of his life in Illinois, served in the Illinois House of Representatives and was a member of Congress from Illinois’ 7th district before assuming the presidency.

In observance of Lincoln’s Birthday on February 12, many state services will not be operational.

“Happy Birthday to our nation’s 16th President Abraham Lincoln!” said Rep. Jacobs.
