On July 2, no white residents of Jackson County had COVID-19 tests return positive, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Since the start of the pandemic, 146 white residents have tested positive for COVID-19, constituting 44 percent of the positive cases in Jackson County.
