Murphysboro High School recognized several student achievements on March 26, 2026, highlighting individual contributions to the school’s extracurricular programs through a series of social media posts.

On March 26, Murphysboro HS posted, “Congrats, Madison Voss! Devil Dazzler Leadership Award Winner!” at 14:59 UTC. Later that day at 15:19 UTC, the school continued its acknowledgments with “Congrats, Kemmeon Hale! Red Devils Top Rebounder and Leading Scorer!” This was followed by another post at 15:20 UTC stating, “Congrats, DaeJohn Beard! Red Devils Hustle Award Winner!”

Murphysboro High School is part of Murphysboro Community Unit School District 186. The district serves students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade across Harrison and Jackson County and includes Carruthers Elementary School, General John A.
