McKendree Bearcats beat Rockhurst Hawks behind strong showing from Peyton Bittle

At 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, McKendree Bearcats, featuring former Carterville High School standout Peyton Bittle, earned a 12-6 victory over the Rockhurst Hawks in their NCAA Division II baseball game.

Loyola Park Baseball Field hosted the matchup, which marked the teams’ third meeting this season. In their earlier contest on Saturday, March 14, the Bearcats edged the Hawks, 2-1.

Bittle notched two hits in five plate appearances, scored twice, drove in two runs, and drew a walk.

The Bearcats are set to face Rockhurst Hawks again at Loyola Park Baseball Field on Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m.
