Jackson County had one gas station selling regular gas at the lowest price of $2.74 per gallon during the week ending Dec. 20, 2025, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The average reported price of regular gas across the county was $2.92 per gallon.
GasBuddy reports show that regular gas was available at 17 of the 23 reported gas stations in Jackson County.
For comparison, the average price of regular gas in Illinois was $2.95 per gallon for the week ending Dec. 20, 2025, down from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
