State Representative Dave Severin has announced that lawmakers will return to Springfield on January 20 for the start of the 2026 Legislative Session. Severin, who represents Illinois’ 116th House District, encouraged residents to follow legislative proceedings online.

“I encourage everyone to follow along live during the Spring 2026 Session. After all, the House of Representatives is the People’s House, and the action that happens there impacts every Illinoisan,” Severin said. “You can watch all the action by visiting the Illinois General Assembly’s website.”

The sessions can be viewed live at https://ilga.gov/House/AudioVideo.

Severin was elected as a Republican to represent the 116th District in 2023, succeeding David Friess.

The Illinois General Assembly’s website is operated and funded by the state government. Ethics regulations prohibit campaign-related content or comments on this site.
