PUBLIC HEARING — TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING FOR 2025 TAX LEVY
A Legal Notice, as prescribed by law, was published and the Giant City C.C.S.D. #130 Truth in Taxation special hearing notice has been posted since 9:00 a.m. on November 14, 2025. The School Code of Illinois requires that a Public Hearing be conducted prior to formal adoption by the Board of Education of a tax levy that exceeds the previous year’s by 5%. The Superintendent and Financial Officer will present a summary of the tax levy and will respond to questions by those attending the Hearing as well as members of the Board of Education. All those who wish to be heard on the tax were required to submit requests to the superintendent prior to the hearing.
