Five members of the Southern Illinois University Salukis Women’s Softball team were named to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Team, according to a May 4 announcement by the league.

This recognition highlights both academic and athletic achievements among student-athletes. The Salukis participate in NCAA Division I competitions, as reported by the official website.

Maleah Blomenkamp, Sage Grann, Amanda Knutson, Erin Lee, and Emily Williams received spots on this year’s scholar-athlete team. Lee and Williams earned this honor for a second consecutive year after being selected in 2025 as well. Blomenkamp, Grann, and Knutson are first-time honorees. Both Lee and Grann major in exercise science; Blomenkamp studies dental hygiene; Knutson is a sports administration major; Williams majors in nursing.

The Salukis host their home games at Charlotte West Stadium in Carbondale, Illinois according to the official website. The program maintains membership in the Missouri Valley Conference and competes specifically in NCAA Division I softball.

The All-Conference Team is scheduled for announcement on Wednesday at 8 a.m., providing further recognition for athletes within the conference.
