21 Williamson County residents in their twenties test positive for COVID-19

As of July 1, there have been 21 Williamson County residents in their twenties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 740 residents in their twenties in the county who had been tested, meaning that two percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through July 1, there have been 120 confirmed COVID-19 cases and four deaths from the coronavirus in Williamson County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it’s transmission.
