As of June 28, there have been 14 Williamson County residents in their forties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 750 residents in their forties in the county who had been tested, meaning that one percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through June 28, there have been 113 confirmed COVID-19 cases and four deaths from the coronavirus in Williamson County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it’s transmission.
