One Jackson County resident in his or her fifties tested positive for COVID-19 on June 30, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been 42 positive cases reported in Jackson County among residents in their fifties, accounting for 12.7 percent of all cases in the county. Through June 30, Jackson County has reported a total of 332 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 19 of which have ended with the victim’s death.
