Village of De Soto Board of Trustees met Dec. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

President Pro Tem Brian Gleason called the second monthly meeting of the De Soto Village Board of Trustees to order at 7:00 P.M. Trustee Gleason presided over the meeting in the absence of President Eric Schuler. Village Clerk Paula Parks was present to record the minutes.

Motion made by Tony Rushing, seconded by Rachel Alstat, to dispense with the reading of the minutes and to approve them. Motion carried.

Motion made by Cristy Desormeaux, seconded by Tony Rushing, to approve the November revenue report. Motion carried.

Motion made by Rachel Alstat, seconded by Cristy Desormeaux, to pay the list of bills. Upon roll call vote: Tony Rushing – Yes; Brian Gleason – Yes; Cristy Desormeaux – Yes; Rachel Alstat – Yes. Motion carried.

Motion made by Tony Rushing, seconded by Rachel Alstat, to approve the application from Ken and Lynn Diesburg for a water tap at 15181 N. Hwy 51. Motion carried.

Motion made by Cristy Desormeaux, seconded by Tony Rushing, to pass Resolution 2023-5 appropriating $75,000.00 of Motor Fuel Tax Funds for the purpose of maintaining streets and highways from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. Upon roll call vote: Tony Rushing – Yes; Brian Gleason – Yes; Cristy Desormeaux – Yes; Rachel Alstat – Yes. Motion carried. Resolution incorporated by reference.

The next village board meeting will be held Tuesday, January 2 at 7:00 PM at the village hall.[PP1]

Motion made by Tony Rushing, seconded by Cristy Desormeaux, to adjourn at 7:11 PM. Motion carried.
