City of Carbondale Public Library Board of Trustees met Dec. 13.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

Call to order.

Roll call.

Introductions, audience and visitors.

Visitors are asked to introduce themselves at this time and present any issues they wish to discuss. Visitors wishing to address specific agenda items will be granted two to five minutes at the discretion of the President, not to exceed a total of twenty minutes. The Library Board may cut short any comments that are irrelevant, repetitious, or disruptive. (Id. at 1425-26).

1. Approval of November 8, 2023 Board Meeting minutes.

Correspondence and communications.

Financial report.

1. Approval of bills payable up to and including bills due December 16, 2023, to January 15, 2024.

2. Acceptance of the financial report for November 2023.

Librarian’s report.

1. Building and grounds maintenance.

a. Walk the property to examine the east fence and north side of the Brush building for a potential mural project.

b. Report from Carbondale Police Department on grounds security.

c. Security camera update.

2. Per Capita Grant requirement.

a. Discuss Chapters 10-13 of Serving Our Public: Standards for Illinois Public Libraries.

1. Approval of December 7, 2023 meeting minutes.
