The Illinois Freedom Caucus is set to host a public event to discuss crucial topics of legislation, politics, and the state budget.

The event, featuring prominent legislators from the Illinois Freedom Caucus, aims to engage with the community and shed light on significant issues impacting the state.

“See you Saturday Night in Marion!” The Illinois Freedom Caucus posted on Facebook.

The event will be held at the Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois located at 10400 Terminal Drive, Suite 200 in Marion on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m.

Attendees will have the chance to hear directly from members of the Illinois Freedom Caucus and engage in discussions about the future of the state.

The Illinois Freedom Caucus is comprised of State Representatives Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich), Chris Miller (R-Oakland), Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville), Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City), and Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur).

The Illinois Freedom Caucus, along with local residents and supporters, earlier this week held a press conference to voice opposition to the battery plant planned for Manteno, Kankakee Times reported.

This event addressed concerns raised by Manteno residents, including zoning regulations, property taxes, healthcare access, and potential national security implications of the Chinese company’s generous subsidies through federal tax credits, amid increasing tensions between the U.S. and China.
