Jackson County 708 Board met Sept. 18.

Here is the agenda provided by the Board:

Call to Order (5:30 PM)

Members Present: Clark, St. Julian, Thomas and Williamson

Members Absent: Flowers, Hunter and Willis

Also Present: Janece Beckman, Teresa Eubanks, Ginny Donney

Approval of Minutes

I. 17-2796 July 17, 2017 Public Hearing Minutes

A motion was made by St. Julian, seconded by Clark, to approve the July 17, 2017 Public Hearing minutes as presented. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

II. 17-2794 July 17, 2017 Minutes

Agency Reports

Donney with Shawnee Health reported that they are concerned about the upcoming State fiscal vote and they are dealing with new guidelines for screening clients.

Eubanks with The Women's Center reported that they made it through the budget impasse thanks to the generosity of the citizens and organizations like the 708 Board. They have hired a new Rape Crisis worker and she has completed her initial require training.

Old Business

III. 17-2795 2019-2021 3 year Plan

The board reviewed the updated one and three year plans. They discussed the options to either adopt the plans or allow more time for review of the plans and discuss them at the November meeting. Additionally, they discussed the option to increase the number of members on the board. The administrative assistant was asked to email the one and three year plans to the board members with an October deadline for suggested changes. This item will be on the November agenda.

New Business

IV. 17-2797 Approval of 3rd Quarter Reports

The board reviewed the submitted 3rd quarter status and expense reports. Every agency submitted their completed reports on time.

A motion was made by Thomas, seconded by St. Julian, to approve the 3rd quarter Status and Expense reports, authorize the Chair to sign the reports and release the quarterly payments to the agencies. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

Adjourn (6:03 PM)

Thomas moved and St. Julian seconded to adjourn, motion carried
